Do you really like the look, smell and feel of new homes? Would you rather buy a brand new home than worry about the things that can go wrong with older properties? If so, it's a lucky thing that you're thinking about buying a new home in Florida (and in TampaBay), because this region has some of the very best home builders in the country.
I'm from Northern New England, and there really was very little in the way of new home construction going on in that part of the world. For one thing, there were plenty of older homes that were available; for another, large numbers of people simply were not moving into that region, so homebuilders didn't find a very friendly market there.
Not so in TampaBay! Around 1,000 new people move into the state of Florida every day, and a certain percentage of them wind up right here. And there are never enough older homes to go around.
But it isn't just a supply-and-demand issue. Newer homes are very nicely designed, and they offer a number of features and benefits that older homes just can't match. Sometime during the 1980s, the architecture of new home construction really changed for the better, and quite a few buyers are very attracted to that more modern look and feel.
What kind of features are we talking about? Well, there are many -- volume ceilings, spacious and well-equipped kitchens, rounded corners on interior walls, pools and spas with spillovers, piped-in recycled water for lawns, piped-in natural gas, gated communities, three-car garages, pool baths and a bunch of other things.
Now, all those features and benefits are enough to motivate many home buyers. But right now, in a market that has cooled considerably since last year, there is no better time to buy a newly-built home. Builders have inventories that are bulging, and they are willing to make some very attractive deals to move those homes from their names to yours.
If you'd like to see some brand-new model homes, let me know and I'll be glad to show you around. Meanwhile, why don't you take a look below at some of the inventory homes that buildings have for sale in the area right now.
